What we collect

Account information — name, email address, and profile details you provide
Learning data — lessons completed, tracks enrolled, projects submitted
Income records — income events you log voluntarily
Usage data — pages visited, features used, to improve the platform
Payment data — transaction references only; card/M-Pesa details are handled by Pesapal and never stored by us

How we use it

To deliver the platform and personalise your learning experience
To power the AI Mentor with context about your progress
To send transactional emails (lesson updates, payment confirmations)
To show your public profile on the leaderboard (only if you opt in)
To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the services that power the platform:

Supabase — database and authentication
Groq — AI inference for the Mentor (your messages are processed but not stored by Groq beyond the request)
Resend — transactional email delivery
Pesapal — payment processing
Vercel — hosting and infrastructure

Your rights

Access — request a copy of your data at any time
Correction — update your profile from Settings
Deletion — delete your account from Settings → Account. This permanently removes all your data within 30 days
Privacy controls — toggle your public profile visibility from Settings → Privacy

Data retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely.

Cookies

We use only functional cookies required for authentication (Supabase session tokens). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed by Supabase Auth. We conduct regular reviews of access controls and third-party integrations.
